Online learning and support is in our DNA


We're one of the most experienced providers of online education in Australia, with a history of working with online and distance students going back 50 years. Our innovative course delivery today uses the latest technology to connect you with your teachers, learning materials and fellow students, but our approach to learning and support is built on an understanding that only comes from experience.


Our support options are more than a safety net, they are a normal part of the CSU online experience. We've worked with hundreds of thousands of online and distance students, and we've developed our support options specifically to address your needs. You can access support seven days a week, online or over the phone, or even in person from our student outreach teams.


Each year more than 20,000 people choose to study with CSU online, and our graduates continue to enjoy one of the best employment rates in the country. That's because we understand the online student experience, and because our courses, learning systems and support options have been developed specifically for online study.

Help with costs

Most CSU Online students will be eligible for HECS-HELP loans or discounts which mean you won't have to pay anything upfront. You can defer your fees while you're at university and pay them off once you're earning a certain salary.

What to expect

Your lectures and tutorials will be delivered online, and you'll have the chance to interact live with your teachers and fellow students. You'll find your learning materials in our online learning space, where you can also join a study group, or chat to your classmates, or just see how everyone else is finding the course.

Our student support services are a natural part of your CSU experience, so we'll introduce them to you early and encourage you to use them often. We're available seven days a week, online or over the phone, but also face-to-face in ways you might not have considered.
