Trophic Ecology of Freshwater Fishes A scholarship is available to support Post Graduate students undertaking research projects that are considered within the scope of these topics, which include, but are not limited to: Field and lab studies focused on trophic interactions between invasive and native fishes; Stable isotope and fatty acid analyses; Statistical modelling of food web interactions; Lab experiments examining variation in growth and survival of larvae; Global desktop analyses of fish traits $27,596 (tax free) per year over 3 years and operating funds (up to $5000 per year) to support travel and fieldwork Applications closed
Mitigating Fish Losses into Irrigation Systems The optimal candidate will have a passion for freshwater fish and be willing to spend extended periods performing fieldwork across the Murray-Darling Basin. Potential candidates will require a First Class Honours, or a Masters degree with a research component and will need to apply via a competitive process. Note that candidates with a previous publication record will have a significant advantage. $27,596 (tax free) per year over 3 years with generous industry support for operational expenses and a one-off relocation allowance of $2,500 Applications closed
