We can provide short-term loans of up to $2000 at no interest to help you continue their studies if you find yourself in a difficult financial situation.
Short-term loans are available to current CSU students who are Australian citizens, permanent residents or who hold a humanitarian visa.
Short-term loans may be used to meet expenses such as:
- textbooks and journals
- course equipment
- travel and accommodation costs for compulsory placements and residential schools
- study related equipment
- living expenses
- emergency medical and dental expenses
- bond and rent in advance if relocating for study purposes
If you need emergency assistance (within one working day) for essential expenses such as food, accommodation or a medical or family crisis we can provide loans of up to $100.
All current students who are Australian citizens, permanent residents or who hold a humanitarian visa are eligible to apply for an emergency loan.
Zero interest student loans are available to eligible enrolled on-shore international students studying at one of CSU's regional campuses, including Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga. International student loans allow students to cover the costs of unforeseen circumstances that impact on their studies. Loans of up to $300 are available in emergency circumstances. Short-term loans of up to $500 are available to meet study related expenses in ordinary circumstances.
