This course meets your emerging needs as either a current or aspiring intelligence practitioner, providing you with a theoretical and practical foundation towards a best practice approach to intelligence.
This intelligence analysis course is primarily focused on those currently working or wishing to work as analysts in the national security, law enforcement, regulatory and private sector contexts. You'll study topics with a focus on foundation principles of intelligence, intelligence and analytics and operational intelligence.
When you complete the graduate certificate, you may choose to further your expertise with the Graduate Diploma of Intelligence Analysis and Master of Arts (Intelligence Analysis). The master's program offers three pathways: restricted electives, workplace research and pure research.

Wherever you want to take your career in the intelligence analysis field, you'll be able to demonstrate high-level skills in the collection, collation and analysis of information. You may support criminal investigations and manage and assess large volumes of disparate data, applying contemporary analytical tools and techniques to produce actionable operational and strategic intelligence.
For each 8-point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, intensive schools, or examinations. If you are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of approved course design.
You may need to attend an online or on-campus intensive school for certain subjects in this course. These schools usually involve lectures, tutorials and practicals that will give you a deeper understanding of your subject.
