UCWE intakes
Stage 1: Review the pre-application requirements by visiting NSW Police Force Recruitment.
Stage 2: Complete the applications qualifications – learn more by visiting NSW Police Force Recruitment.
Stage 3: Submit your application. If your application passes the initial stages, you’ll be invited to enrol in the next University Certificate in Workforce Essentials (UCWE) course, which is completed online in just four weeks, at a cost of only $700, in 2024.
Stage 4: During the recruitment process with the NSW Police Force you will be required to:
Stage 5: Some applicants may be required to be interviewed with the NSW Police Force.
Stage 6: Applicants who successfully complete the four-week UCWE course will progress to a final check of their application and formal approval to proceed into the Associate Degree in Policing Practice (ADPP) at the NSW Police Force Academy.
Stage 7: Upon successful completion of the recruitment process you will be offered enrolment into the ADPP. Session 1 is undertaken online in 16 weeks, so you can maintain that study-life balance.
Stage 8: Session 2 of the ADPP is also 16 weeks and takes place at the NSW Police Force Academy in Goulburn. There you’ll get hands-on training in purpose-built facilities, to kick start your career as a police officer. Best of all, you’ll get paid while you study!
Stage 9: Now it’s time for Attestation, where you'll be sworn in as a Probationary Constable and work in the field.
Stage 10: Complete one year of on-the-job training (Sessions 3, 4 and 5) and become confirmed as a Constable of the NSW Police Force.
